Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Cambridge International School (CIS) in Bratislava, Slovakia, is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Playground Assistant to join a growing, dedicated and outstanding team of educators within a highly supportive and values-driven, but ambitious and expanding international school.
Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• to supervise children in the canteen and playground during break time, lunch time and after school duties maintaining a harmonious atmosphere by encouraging peaceful resolution of conflicts
• active interaction with children, support for children's games, monitor children's behaviour
• to invent new games / competitions / quizzes / other activities for children (active, playful and creative person)
• to be a good team player with other Playground Assistants
• regularly liaise with parents and relevant staff members to ensure appropriate channels are used and communication is clear and consistent
• to be alert and prevent injuries of children
• report any safety concerns and issues
• to perform minor first aid where necessary
